Yes...a bit like life, indeed! The creative process often gets me thinking about life, and vice versa. Lots of connections. Many thanks, Tess.

Thank you, Claire. I find this is one of the recurring gifts (and challenges) of the scriptures...helping me imagine beyond what's familiar, and to stretch into that. Blessings to you!

Many thanks, Sunrise Sister! A month in Maui...what a marvelous way to begin Lent. Hope you're having a wondrous time and storing up much sunlight for your soul.

I love your description of the process of this art. Partly because it's interesting - painting tissue paper, I wouldn't have thought of it. Partly because you're creating beauty in ways you didn't really plan or expect. A bit like life.

"And yet we need to keep practicing that transition, to keep rehearsing the journey that moves us from being recipients of wonder to becoming people who, transformed and—shall we say it?—transfigured by what we have received, can then offer these wonders to a broken world."
How lovely that we I can imagine myself transfigured and passing on these wonders :-)))

"what we cling to and what we need to practice letting go" - oh, here comes Lent again:) Your post is full of wisdom and your art always lifts me - your distinct style is refreshing and light, beautiful!

We've let go of winter for the month of February and will be beginning Lent here on Maui in the warm sunshine.

Thanks as always for your words of hope and renewal!
